These terms apply to your use of the Simple Wire app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. By using the app you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the app.
Simple Wire is a reader for RSS and Atom feeds you choose, with an optional feature for sharing articles with people you invite. It has no servers of its own: your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud account. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Articles shown in Simple Wire come from third-party websites you subscribe to. We do not create, control, endorse, verify, or moderate that content, and we are not responsible for it. Feeds may change, break, or disappear at any time. Your use of any linked website is subject to that site's own terms.
If you use the sharing features, you are responsible for what you share and for the notes you write. You agree not to use Simple Wire's sharing to:
Your public follow link is shareable by anyone who receives it. If you publish it openly, expect that strangers may follow you. You can remove any follower, and you can delete any direct connection, at any time in Manage Following.
Every shared article includes a Report option, and you can block a follower or remove a connection yourself at any time. Because shared content lives in users' own iCloud accounts rather than on our servers, we cannot delete another person's content for you — but you can always sever the channel through which it reaches you, which stops it immediately. We may stop providing the app, or a feature of it, to anyone who misuses it.
Simple Wire is free to use as a reader, including following other people and receiving what they share. A one-time purchase enables publishing your own shares, alternate app icons, and additional reader fonts. Optional tips add nothing at all.
All purchases are one-time, are not subscriptions, and are processed by Apple. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. The two non-consumable purchases support Family Sharing and can be restored on your other devices with Restore Purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms — we cannot issue them directly.
Syncing and sharing require an Apple Account with iCloud and depend on Apple's services; the app works locally without them. Apple limits how many people can participate in a single share, which limits how many followers one public channel can hold. We may change or discontinue features, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Simple Wire is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. Use of the app is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or content you or others shared. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these terms; the current version will always be posted at this address with its effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
