Effective date: July 17, 2026
Simple Sip is built around a simple idea: your hydration data is yours. This policy explains what the app does — and, more importantly, what it doesn't do.
Simple Sip does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. Everything you log stays on your device.
Water entries, goals, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch. If you have iCloud backup enabled, your device may include this data in your personal, encrypted device backup — that backup belongs to you and is never visible to us.
If you turn on Apple Health sync, Simple Sip writes the water you log to the Health app as Dietary Water, and reads water data to keep your history in sync. This happens only with your explicit permission, entirely on your device, using Apple's HealthKit framework. Health data is never sent to us or to anyone else, and is never used for advertising or marketing. You can revoke this permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Hydration reminders are optional local notifications scheduled on your device. No notification data leaves your phone.
Premium and tips are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Purchase records are managed by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Simple Sip does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. The app is rated 4+ and contains no third-party content.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Because the app collects nothing, we expect changes to be rare.
